All lawn weed herbicides are not made the same. Some will kill your regular grass and other common weeds. Make sure you read the label. Herbicides made to target crabgrass will be in a liquid form. It is meant for spot treatment and not for a broadcast application. Follow the directions on the label of the product for proper safety protocol.
Is Baking Soda An Effective Weed Killer
False: Baking soda does not completely kill weeds.

Spring lawn weeds frequently appear due to seeds spread through loam used to top-dress the lawn, overwintering seeds, seeds in the grass seed or seeds spread by birds and wind. Annual coarse grasses can be controlled through a combination of physical, cultural and chemical approaches. Start by reducing the number of seeds by removing annual coarse grasses before the flowers go to seed. Annual coarse grasses have shallow root systems, meaning they can be pulled by hand.
Drought impacts the weeds more than a healthy lawn, so letting the soil dry out before the seeds develop will reduce the number of flowering weeds. Applying a high-nitrogen spring lawn fertilizer helps the lawn get a head start and will crowd out the sprouting weed seeds. If the number of coarse annual grasses in the lawn makes hand-pulling unrealistic, mow the lawn with the blade set lower than the flowering heads of the weeds. Cutting the desired grass too short, however, can overstress the lawn.

I spray the leaves, shoots, and stems on vines I cut so that the solution absorbs into the plant in multiple spots for maximum effectiveness.
The Green Gobbler is approved by the Organic Materials Review Institute as it is free of glyphosate, phosphates, sulfates, VOCs, petroleum solvents, chlorine, fluorine, and ethoxylates, and is approved for organic gardening.
This product is best used in areas where you are not concerned about killing other nearby plants. You will need to spray the Green Gobbler on any morning glory that pops up on your property throughout the growing season. This will help greatly reduce morning glory infestation issues in forthcoming years. This product is also ideal for use on dandelion patches or other broad-leaf weeds.
A gallon covers up to 1,000 sq ft, so it is long-lasting as well. It is best to cut the vines down as much as you can first so that the product covers the maximum amount of ground space needed.
