Dont Forget The Battery

How To: RYOBI 18V ONE+ Lawn Mower Assembly And Start Guide

Dont overlook the most obvious solution. If your battery is flat, or overheated, that could be the problem. Heres some advice on Ryobi batteries. If the battery is freshly charged and tests good in the charger, its not the battery.

But if the mower was working and stopped suddenly, this is the most common reason. Let the battery cool down and then charge it.

Unfold And Adjust The Handle Assembly

The mower arrives with the handles folded in half over the top of the mower. Simply unfold the handle and make sure that the knobs fully latch/engage at the base of the handle.

Next, pull on the top of the handle assembly to fully extend it. Then rotate the adjustment knobs 90 degrees. This will secure the extended handle.

Note: If the adjustment knobs are not fully secured, the mower will NOT turn on.

Ryobi lawnmowers have a wide range for every customers needs. If you have a small to medium lawn, the Ryobi 18v One+ might be best for you.

It is finally starting to look like spring around here in Utah. Sometimes we get teased with warm weather, and then a snow storm will hit the next day. Ha ha mother nature keeps us hopping.

As Spring brings in the good weather, it brings lots of yard work with it!

I dont know about you, but when I do yard work, I just want my equipment to work so I can get it done. I hate messing around with pull strings, carburetors, mixed gas and regular gas. When I was a kid, I would wait until Dad came back for lunch to start the weed eaterI could never start that thing on my own. Oh and the tiller, well that was always a challenge.

As battery powered lawn equipment has evolved, Ive always been drawn to it. No messing around with engines, just plug in the battery and get to work!

The Ryobi 38 inch riding mower is extremely unique. In fact, I didnt even know it existed before I did all of this research. This is not your typical riding lawn mower. The unique design on the 48V Brushless 38 in riding mower allows for a nice clean cut for much larger lawns.

I know what youre thinking how does this thing run on batteries? Well, it is much different than other battery-powered mowers in that it plugs in like a dang Tesla. And it can run for up to 2.5 hours on a single charge.

The more I read up on it, the more I love it. I actually think this is one of the better electric riding mower Ive seen. Good job Ryobi!

Determine Your Pricing And The Demand In The Area

A very important factor in selling riding lawn mowers is the price. Before you can slap any price tag on your item, our experts suggest doing some research on the demand in the area. How are other sellers pricing their items? You want to be within the same range but not much higher or lower.

Our landscapers say many sellers may be tempted to price out their competitors, but this could actually have the opposite effect. This is because a lower price usually leads to consumers wondering if your device is defective. The best way to outdo your competitors is not by lowering your price, but by showcasing the riding lawn mower well with a detailed description.

How Long Does The Ryobi 40v Battery Last

There are a number of factors that determine how long a Ryobi 40V battery lasts, with the biggest factor being the length of the grass.

My yard consists of fairly thick St. Augustine variety of grass, and Ive found that with a full charge the Ryobi 40V battery will last about 45 minutes.

I have about 5500 square feet of yard to mow, and by the end of the mowing session, the battery is pretty well drained.

Okay, Im being facetious here . But the truth is that gas-powered lawn mowers require pulling a starter cord. If youve ever tried it, you know how it feels like youre about to pull your arm off. Its like a comedy show for the neighbors to witness, am I right?

If youre lacking upper arm and body, or youve got a shoulder problem or gripping issues, this could be really difficult.

Riding mowers are comfortable tools for cutting large swathes of grass. When you try to start one for the first time, you may find that you dont know the steps you have to go through before the key will work in the ignition. While the step order can differ slightly between manufacturers, they all follow the same basic procedure. To start your riding lawn mower, engage the brakes, shift the gear to neutral, open the throttle, turn the ignition, and then fix any issues preventing the mower from working properly.

How Long Does It Take To Charge A Ryobi 40v Battery

In my experience, when using the battery charger that comes with the mower, it takes about 2 hours to completely charge a drained battery.

From what Ive read, Ryobi is claiming that the battery will charge about 2,000 times before needing to be replaced.

So what Ive started doing is not charging the battery until its completely dead. If theres still charge left in the battery, Ill keep it unit the next time I mow.

Ryobi 40V Fast Charger

When I registered my Ryobi mower, I was told that I would be sent a fast charger for free. I dont know how fast these will charge a battery compared to the charger that comes with the mower. But Ill report back once I receive it and test it out.

Starting An Electric Lawnmower

Electric lawnmowers run on electric motors. This does not necessarily mean that they all need to be connected to a power source before they work. They are called electric lawnmowers because they require an electric start key, mostly.

Some electric lawnmowers, even though they are called electric, run on batteries. Those lawnmowers are called cordless electric lawnmowers because they do not have an electric cord attached to them.

How then, do they start? One of the best advantages of starting a lawnmower that runs on a battery or even one that runs on electricity is that starting them is really easy. Whether they are corded or cordless, most of them come with a start key that just needs to be inserted in the appropriate space provided for it. In addition to the simplicity that this start key provides in terms of starting the machinery, it also prevents tampering with the lawn mower.

When we bought our house a few years ago, we didn’t have any outdoor tools. My first purchase was a cheap, tiny, battery powered lawn mower to cut our dandelion-filled yard .

It struggled with thick grass, and the battery conked out before I finished our small yard. Neighbors said it looked like I was pushing a toy lawn mower around because it was so tiny! But it was quiet, and it got the job done .

So I was really excited when Ryobi reached out and asked if I’d like to review their 20 inch battery powered lawn mower! It’s quite the upgrade over the tiny 13 inch model I was using before!
