weed, for your situation non proppeled mowers are ideal, transmissions are the weak link in most mowers. if your willing to purchase an older mower, i would look into older toros, i have a john deere 14pb kawasaki engine, blade brake that is a breeze to use. alot of the older 1s used aluminum decks, but they still deteriorate from treated grass not being washed out and overall neglect. for new options, search your area for shops that specialize in lawn equipment and see whats available. big box stores dont carry the whole line different makers offer.
